Bentley University, Trees Residence Halls
Waltham, MAMulti-Year Renovation Program
The Trees Complex is a network of seven traditional co-ed residence halls―Alder, Birch, Cedar, Elm, Maple, Oak, and Spruce Halls. Comprising a total of 256 double and triple occupancy rooms, student lounges, a game room and a common kitchen, the complex accommodates 500 first-year students.
Over four summers, Timberline has completed exterior and interior renovations to upgrade the buildings, improve energy efficiency and enhance student living areas at this complex. The work included replacement of the existing slate roofs, exterior masonry restoration, reinforcement of concrete canopies and installation of new energy efficient windows.
Interior renovations include new flooring and finishes, upgrading and updating of bathrooms and laundry room renovation with upgraded plumbing. Existing heat pumps were also upgraded to increase efficiency and align with Bentley’s campus-wide awareness and focus on sustainability.
