Organogenesis is a leading regenerative medicine company focused on the development, manufacturing and sale of products for the advanced wound care, and surgical and sports medicine markets. Due to recent demand for GMP cold storage, Timberline was engaged to assist Organogenesis in the fit-out of approximately 7,285 SF warehouse space in Canton, MA. The scope of work included cold storage walk-in refrigerators, package line, inspection room, electrical upgrades, exterior stairs/egress, new roof hatch and new utility stair.
The GMP cold storage area consists of eight temporary, mobile cold storage walk-in refrigerators. They are currently used for their Affinity product, which is the only fresh amniotic membrane wound covering that retains native viable cells. These refrigerators are the current storage solution, with Organogenesis
getting ready for a permanent solution in the warehouse. The units have a redundant cooling system, protecting the Affinity product from external temperatures.
