US HEADQUARTERS & NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

Sophos is an industry leader in network and endpoint security. The company’s Burlington location serves as its US headquarters and national training center, one of three such training facilities in North America. This complete renovation substantially updated the two-floor space creating an open-plan environment and converting private offices into meeting spaces. A client-facing briefing center with two technology-enabled conference rooms and a large breakout area was added to the main entrance floor. A multi-purpose area with a kitchen provides casual meeting space for staff on the first floor.

To allow Sophos’ business to continue during construction, Timberline’s phasing plan isolated construction activities on a floor-by-floor basis efficiently utilizing available swing space to complete renovations on time.

Timberline also upgraded the outdated fire alarm system throughout the base building at 3 Van DeGraaf Drive to facilitate Sophos’ occupancy. This required extensive coordination with the landlord to minimize disruption to the building’s multiple occupants.
