Andover, MA – Timberline Construction recently completed the renovation and expansion of Broadcom Limited’s office located at 200 Brickstone Square in Andover, MA. Broadcom designs semiconductor solutions that range from high-speed telecommunication networks to small-office and home-office networks.
The 35,000 square-foot tenant improvement project, designed by Visnick and Caulfield and managed by CBRE, took place on the first floor in their occupied, Class-A office space. The renovation consists of a new, sleek and contemporary workspace, conference and huddle rooms, a new community room with UPS system along with a state-of-the-art electronics lab, a computer room and testing areas. The new entry lobby area has full height double glass doors with ceramic tile and a multi-color panel feature wall. Conference rooms and huddle rooms all have interior storefront aluminum door and sidelight frame glazing systems. The break room has an open ceiling concept with ceiling clouds and pendant fixtures, custom banquet seating and a decorative vinyl plank floor. Computer rooms and lab areas are conditioned with new cooling systems, including HVAC piping and equipment and roof top units. New structural platforms for the mechanical equipment were installed and tied into the existing building rooftop systems. A new compressed air system with a full size air compressor unit mounted on the roof on a custom rack feeds the new lab bench areas.
