For the third year, Timberline Construction volunteered with the South Shore Habitat for Humanity to build a house in Easton, MA. The Timberline team provided assistance in the framing stage for this ground-up project which will serve as a new home for a family in need.
Joseph Regan, Habitat for Humanity’s Development Officer, states, “We are so grateful for our continuing partnership with Timberline. It’s a wonderful fit when we couple with such a respected construction firm. The experience and energy they bring to the site is invaluable, and the progress made through their work is clear. We’re thankful to the whole Timberline team for helping us bring families one step closer to a new home.”
The Habitat for Humanity projects are run by safety-oriented, knowledgeable and enthusiastic site managers provided by the organization. Our teams connect over a shared passion for building and helping others in the community. The benefit of Habitat for Humanity partnering with a construction firm, such as Timberline, is the combined expertise of both teams which ultimately saves time on the construction schedule because of the progress made in such a short period of time.
COVID-19 this year posed extra site-safety requirements that both Timberline and Habitat for Humanity were well-equipped to handle. In addition to the build day being divided into two days to limit the number of Timberline professionals on site each day, PPE was provided, masks were worn and social distancing was maintained to successfully volunteer in a safe manner.
Timberline Construction’s Maria Messina states, “I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Habitat crew and my colleagues on this exciting build day project. At Timberline, we’re always looking for ways to give back to the surrounding community and it is really satisfying to be a part of that.”
Timberline is very grateful to our friends at the South Shore Habitat for Humanity and the generous work they do for the South Shore community. We look forward to future projects and continuing to build exceptional communities together. To watch our video from our Build Days, click here.
