As the BBJ celebrates its 20th year of recognizing the area’s best companies to work for, Timberline receives this special recognition on its own 20th Anniversary
Canton, MA – The Boston Business Journal (BBJ) has named Timberline Construction Corporation (Timberline) to its 2022 Best Places to Work — the BBJ’s exclusive ranking of the Massachusetts companies that have built outstanding work environments for their people. This year marks the 20th annual Best Places to Work awards for the BBJ, the first and longest-running awards program recognizing the top workplaces in the region.
“This honor comes at a special time for us here at Timberline, as we celebrate our 20th year of doing business for some of the best clients in the greater Boston area and beyond,” said Steven P. Kelly, Timberline’s CEO. “Our exceptional employees are the reason our clients continue to return to us as one of their trusted partners and I am extremely honored that they are the ones who achieved this highly competitive recognition.”
The companies honored range in size and industry, with winners from the technology sector, retail industry, health care space, commercial real estate and more. Employees were asked to rate their work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management, compensation, and benefits. Businesses that met the criteria had surveys distributed by Business Journal partner Quantum Workplace. One’s that excelled were the businesses to receive the award.
Timberline celebrated with the BBJ and other honorees on June 16th at the Boston Park Plaza hotel. “We were so glad to be able to celebrate this year’s Best Places to Work in person. These companies signify teamwork, retention, engagement and trust with co-workers and senior leaders. Together they create a dynamic, innovative place where people want to work and grow. “ said Carolyn Jones, Market President and Publisher of the Boston Business Journal.
For our inaugural entry as a Best Places to Work, we placed 12th among the 20 small companies that received an award. Our own Keith Pearson, Assistant Vice President, danced his way up on stage to receive the award on behalf of Timberline. Visit our Instagram post about the evening for a video of his stellar performance on stage. He was also able to recreate his performance at the celebration for all employees at our Canton headquarters, which was another night for all to remember.
Many thanks again to all of our Timberline employees for your hard work and dedication. We are a best place because of you!
