Last week, Timberline held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening of the employee gym. Offering an in-house fitness center has been a goal of President Steven P. Kelly since the company’s relocation to the current Canton facility seven years ago. The opening is a symbolic milestone of our company’s hard work, growth and vision for the future.
The gym offers a men’s and women’s locker room, each with a large shower and single bathroom, as well as digital scales, touch-less faucets, soap and dryer. Equipment includes bicycles, treadmills, ellipticals, total body weight station, bar, dumbbells, exercise mats, exercise balls and bands. The space also includes a water cooler and Audio Visual package with cable and two televisions, as well as individual wireless audio belt-pack receivers for use with headphones to tune into either TV. The room is also set-up to play music from an ipod or phone at the Audio Center.
The opening of Timberline’s Employee Fitness Center also marks the beginning of an on-going Employee Wellness Program.Next week, Timberline will host a wellness consultant to help kick-off the program, offering information regarding the staff’s current physical fitness and health behavior, gathered through measurement and survey. This information will be used for the formulation of a program specific to Timberline’s Team members. Our program may include seminars in smoking cessation, injury prevention, nutrition, fitness programming and more. The health and wellness of our team members is important to us. Timberline looks forward to providing its team with the tools for success and improvement with the launch of this program and throughout.
